Here at Wild at Art KIDS we are committed to nurturing and encouraging the artist already within every child or teen – whether they already love art, haven’t quite found a hobby they love YET or would love to develop skills and build confidence in drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, creativity, imagination, problem-solving, resilience, imperfection, or any other art and personal skills.
Through a rich combination of art exploration, skill building and freedom to create, artists (your children) are supported, guided and encouraged to find and trust the artist within.

Welcome to Term 4, 2026
Term 4 is a chance for young artists to finish the year creating, exploring and building confidence in their own ideas.
At Wild at Art KIDS, classes combine skill-building with the freedom to experiment, make choices and create work that feels genuinely their own. Whether your child already loves art or is still discovering what they enjoy, they’ll be supported to develop skills, trust their creative instincts and enjoy the process.

Term 4 Dates
Monday 5th October – Saturday 5th December, 2026
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO CLASSES ON:
Monday 2nd November and Tuesday 3rd November, 2026 (due to Melbourne Cup Holiday)
Monday and Tuesday classes: 8-week term
Wednesday to Saturday classes: 9-week term
Our term classes are held in Taylors Lakes, in Melbourne’s west, close to the Brimbank area.

About the Term Classes
In order of the weekly schedule
Our drawing classes for Ages 5 – 6 are 60 minutes. All other sessions are 90 minutes. All materials are included.
Please bring a drink bottle – creating art can be thirsty work.
Mondays - Tuesdays
Dive into Drawing
Commencing Monday 5 October 2026 until Monday 30 November 2026
Please note: no class Monday 2 November.

Mixed-Media Adventures
This class is perfect for artists who love all kinds of art or who are keen to try a bit of everything in art. Children will explore a range of materials and mediums, including painting, drawing, clay, collage, fibres, sculpture & other art forms. Plus discover and experiment with combining mediums and materials in new, unusual and fun ways.
Commencing Tuesday 6 October 2026 until Tuesday 1 December 2026
Please note: no class Tuesday 3 November.

Wednesdays
Dive into Drawing
Our Ages 7–9 drawing class blends skill-building with creativity, giving children the chance to learn new techniques while still exploring their own ideas. At this age, artists are ready for more focus and guidance, while still enjoying play and experimentation.
We introduce techniques like shading, proportion, perspective and observation through engaging, age-appropriate projects across a range of styles and subjects. With the support of our teachers, children build confidence and develop strong foundations while enjoying the process of making art and allowing their own style to shine through.

Thursdays
Artists, Lead the Way!
An open studio art class where artists come to work on their own ideas, art inspiration and/or take inspiration from the materials, a picture book, conversation, important events, prompts, examples or ideas on offer in the studio. This class is perfect for artists who have lots of ideas of their own and often know exactly what they would like to create.
Within each session artists will also be introduced to a new skill, technique or material in the form of a mini-lesson. The purpose of this is to continue to stretch and broaden their artmaking skills, so that they can continue to bring new materials and techniques into their own ideas.

TEEN PAINTING
Painting Around the World
Artists will be introduced to a range of techniques, processes, skills and styles throughout the term. They will explore art history and context, taking inspiration from many different artists, cultures and time periods.
Artists will draw upon what they are learning, their own ideas and their developing personal style to create a variety of artworks throughout the term. There will be oodles of opportunity to experiment, try new things and develop their skills.
