You’ve come to the right place.

Art for them (the kids).
A breather for you (a quiet coffee, maybe?)

Let the April school holiday fun begin!

Let us engage and inspire your children these school holidays. We have a variety of classes on offer for ages 5+. From wild creating to calmly paced painting, designing and sketching – we’re sure there will be something for everyone!

About our 2024 April Holiday Workshops

Sessions are 90 minutes, 2 hours, or 2.5 hours.
All materials are included and children are welcome to bring a snack and drink bottle – creating art can be hungry and thirsty work! No nuts please.

Fluoro Wild Animals on Canvas

There is something about fluorescent paint that just brings joy and catches the eye!

Artists will explore simple ways for sketching wild animals using reference images and then draw and paint a wild animal of their choosing using fluorescent colours.

What to bring: Water bottle & snack

Fully Booked

Paint a Funky Chicken on Canvas

This class will take artists on a journey to learn how to draw a chicken with character – with real personality!

Artists will then sketch their chicken onto canvas and experiment with colour combinations and blending techniques to paint the first layer of their backgrounds and chickens.

Once this layer is dry, they’ll add details and textures to complete their chickens!  Oh what fun!

This class is a little longer than usual, so please bring along a snack to have mid-way through.

What to bring: Water bottle & snack

Fully Booked

Calico Bags

Come and explore some new materials!

Artists will use fabric pens, textas & crayons to create a beautiful calico bag that they can keep for themselves or make as a gift.

Artists will explore patterns, shapes, favourite places and other favourite things as inspiration for their design. They’ll plan their design on paper and then draw & colour it on their calico bag.

Bags will need to be ironed before use! Instructions will be provided on the day of the workshop.

What to bring: Water bottle

Fully Booked

Sketch a Portrait from a Photograph

Bring along an A4 photo of yourself, a family member, friend or someone famous you admire.  Then learn some terrific techniques for sketching a portrait that really looks like the person in the photo!

You might like to make a sketch for yourself, or this could be the perfect gift for someone you care about.

What to bring: Printed A4 photo/image of a person you would like to sketch (head & shoulders only to fill A4 page) & water bottle.

B&W or colour okay.

Fully Booked
This was a fantastic school holiday activity. The kids were kept busy for 3 hours, and produced some beautiful artwork by the end. Their teacher, Di, was just lovely. So engaging but also so knowledgeable and was really able to talk to the kids at their level. I would definitely recommend it.
