Our adult classes offer a relaxed studio experience where you can explore painting, printmaking and other art forms. You’ll develop new skills and reconnect with your creativity.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, experienced or returning to art after some time away, you’ll be guided through each session with clear instruction and thoughtful support — all within a welcoming, small-group environment.

Each course is designed to help you build confidence as you create your own work, while enjoying the process alongside others.

Our adult classes offer time away from the pace of everyday life — a chance to slow down, focus your attention and reconnect with creativity in a meaningful way. This is not about producing perfect work. It’s about learning new skills, exploring ideas and enjoying the process of making art in a supportive studio environment.

4-Week Adult Painting Short Course

Spend four relaxed and inspiring weeks exploring painting with practising artist Riley Magras, known for her expressive Australian bird artworks.
In this small-group course, you’ll create your own large-scale painting of playful rainbow lorikeets nestled in a fig tree. Riley will guide you step-by-step through the process — from developing your initial concept and composition through to layering colour, building depth and bringing your birds to life on canvas.

Along the way, you’ll explore bird anatomy, experiment with colour and brushwork, and learn how to use light, tone and space to create a sense of movement and personality in your work.
This course is designed for beginners wanting to try painting in a supportive environment, as well as those with some experience who are looking to loosen up, explore new techniques and reconnect with their creativity.
By the end of the four weeks, you’ll have a finished artwork to take home, along with new skills, fresh confidence and a deeper connection to your own painting process.

Printmaking: Beauty in Nature

Discover the Beauty in Nature through this hands-on printmaking course designed just for adults. Over four inspiring weeks, you’ll explore organic forms like leaves, feathers, and shells, translating your ideas into beautiful lino prints. You’ll learn how to design, carve, and print your own unique artwork, experimenting with colour, texture, and mixed media techniques. Whether you’re brand new to art, reconnecting with creativity or an experienced artist you’ll find plenty to enjoy and learn in the company of others. Walk away with a finished piece ready to frame and enjoy.
