Kids love Magiclay – it is one of the most loved materials in our studio. Design and make your very own bird from Magiclay, then add feathers, buttons, pipecleaners and any other materials you’d like to make your bird unique. Then use a box to create a habitat for your bird. Does your bird live high in a tree, on the forest floor, down by the beach or in your backyard? Artists will design a natural habitat using their box and creative materials.
What to bring: A box – shoebox size or similar.

About the Teacher:
Di Riepsamen is a passionate and experienced primary school teacher who started out in the classroom and discovered a love of the visual arts. She teaches term classes and school holiday workshops to kids who want to experience a wide variety of art forms, including drawing, painting, collage, mixed-media, clay, construction and more.
