Funny Frogs

Funny Frogs

Let’s create some wonderfully wacky frogs!

In this workshop, artists will draw a frog using simple shapes, then add lily pads, reeds and other watery details to tell a story and give their frog personality.

Artists will paint their frog, add bold outlines and extra features using Sharpie and collage. A playful, character-filled artwork full of imagination to take home.

Thursday 16th April

Bold Beetles on Canvas

Bold Beetles on Canvas

This workshop is perfect for the artist keen to learn or practice new painting techniques!

Artists will sketch their own beetle, focusing on strong shapes and interesting patterns.

Then we’ll explore how to mix tints and shades to create a monochromatic background and a monochromatic beetle. We’ll choose opposite or contrasting colours from the colour wheel to make our artwork really pop.

Artists will practise painting techniques like blending, layering and creating smooth gradients to add texture and depth. Every beetle will be unique, bold and really pop!

Friday 17th April

Colourful Roosters on Canvas

Colourful Roosters on Canvas

Come paint a rooster bursting with personality and colour!

In this workshop, artists will draw a proud rooster perched on a fence (or anywhere of the artist’s choosing), building strong shapes and confident lines.

Then they’ll paint their roosters using a rainbow of bold, bright colours. We’ll explore fun brushstrokes, strong contrasts and playful details to create a vibrant artwork to take home and proudly display.

Friday 17th April

Submarine Stories

Submarine Stories

Dive beneath the waves and create your own submarine adventure!

Artists will design and draw their own submarine — inspired by cartoons and/or realistic images. They’ll add windows, gadgets and other interesting details.

Then the real storytelling begins! What’s happening around the submarine? Are sea creatures swimming past? Is there a hidden treasure nearby? Has something surprising appeared in the deep? After sketching out their ideas, artists will bring their underwater scene to life using materials and a style of their choosing — shading, colour pencil, fineliner, bold details and/or other options.

Every submarine story will be completely different — and full of imagination and creativity!

Monday 19th January

Summer butterfly

Summer Butterflies on Canvas

Let’s fill the sky with colour! In this workshop, artists will draw and paint a giant butterfly on canvas, exploring bold shapes, bright colours and creative patterns.

They’ll experiment with different brushstrokes and design ideas to make their butterfly truly their own — from symmetrical wings to wild, free-flowing designs. A joyful, summery artwork to take home and proudly display.

Streetscapes

Streetscapes:
One- and Two-point perspective

Discover the basics of perspective in this hands-on workshop! Artists will learn simple techniques for both one-point and two-point perspective, then choose which approach to use to create their very own streetscape.

From buildings and shopfronts to roads and windows, they’ll add the details that bring their city to life. A practical, creative way to explore drawing skills while designing a unique urban scene.

Tuesday 20th January

Aliens in space

Aliens in Space

Get ready for a fun and imaginative adventure! In this workshop, young artists will use their wildest imagination to design their own UFO and create a crew of aliens — from the friendly and funny to the downright weird.

They’ll decide what’s happening in their scene: are the aliens exploring a new planet, zooming through galaxies, or capturing someone on Earth? After sketching out their story, artists will choose how to bring it to life — with watercolours, textas, Sharpies and/or shading and sketching pencils. No two space scenes will be the same!

Beach Days & Summer Skies

Beach Days & Summer Skies

Capture the feeling of a warm summer’s day on the beach. In this workshop, artists will paint a classic beach scene — soft sand, gentle waves and a bright sky above.. They’ll learn how to blend colours smoothly to create depth, movement and light — from the shimmer of the surf to the glow of the summer sky. While the paint dries, artists will sketch and colour a self-portrait with their surfboard, then paste it into their scene for a fun, personal touch.

January School Holiday Workshops

Enrolments Open Mid-November

This was a fantastic school holiday activity. The kids were kept busy for 3 hours, and produced some beautiful artwork by the end. Their teacher, Di, was just lovely. So engaging but also so knowledgeable and was really able to talk to the kids at their level. I would definitely recommend it.
