Here at Wild at Art KIDS we are committed to nurturing and encouraging the artist already within every child or teen  – whether they already love art, haven’t quite found a hobby they love YET or would love to build confidence in drawing, painting or any other art skills.

Through a rich combination of art exploration, skill building and freedom to create, artists (your children) are supported, guided and encouraged to find and trust the artist within.

(Mondays – 8 week term; All other days – 9 week term)

No class on Labour Day – Monday 10th March, 2025

About the Term Classes

In order of the weekly schedule

Our drawing classes for Ages 5 – 8 are 60 minutes. All other sessions are 90 minutes. All materials are included.  
Please bring a drink bottle – creating art can be thirsty work. 

Mondays

Dive into Drawing

A drawing class for kids suitable for beginners to intermediate. We’re going to dive into drawing all kinds of animals, perspective drawings, still-life compositions and more this term. Artists will experiment with shading, texture, fur and a variety of creative drawing tasks to explore various skills, techniques, effects, drawing tools & mediums and more. There will be lots of scope for choice within each artwork, and input from the artists as to what they would like to learn throughout the term.

Commencing Monday 3rd February – Monday 31st March

Please note – no class Monday 10th March, 2025 (Labour Day)

Dive into Drawing

Children will explore a range of materials and mediums, including painting, drawing, clay, collage, fibres, sculpture & other art forms. Plus discover and experiment with combining mediums and materials in new, unusual and fun ways.

Commencing Tuesday 4th February – Tuesday 1st April

This class is perfect for artists who love all kinds of art or who are keen to try a bit of everything in art. Children will explore a range of materials and mediums, including painting, drawing, clay, collage, fibres, sculpture & other art forms. Plus discover and experiment with combining mediums and materials in new, unusual and fun ways.

TEEN PAINTING

Painting Around the World

Daytime Class

In this painting class for teens, artists will explore a variety of paint mediums, techniques, processes and styles through the eyes of different artists.  Your teens will be introduced to international and Australian artists and take inspiration from each artist in a variety of ways to create their own unique artworks. There will be lots of opportunities for artists to experiment with their artmaking as well as learn specific techniques and skills. 

Commencing Wednesday 5th February – Wednesday 2nd April

This class is perfect for artists who love all kinds of art or who are keen to try a bit of everything in art. Children will explore a range of materials and mediums, including painting, drawing, clay, collage, fibres, sculpture & other art forms. Plus discover and experiment with combining mediums and materials in new, unusual and fun ways.

Commencing Thursday 6th February – Thursday 3rd April

Artists, Lead the Way!

An open studio art class where artists come to work on their own ideas, art inspiration and/or take inspiration from the materials, a picture book, conversation, important events, prompts, examples or ideas on offer in the studio. This class is perfect for artists who have lots of ideas of their own and often know exactly what they would like to create. 

Within each session artists will also be introduced to a new skill, technique or material in the form of a mini-lesson. The purpose of this is to continue to stretch and broaden their artmaking skills, so that they can continue to bring new materials and techniques into their own ideas.

Phenomenal children's Art school in the West of Melbourne actually pretty certain the best in Melbourne,educator is very professional and has a real big passion for what she does I can definitely vibe that and her love for teaching art, we are lucky to have wild at art kids it's a really great asset for kids in the community.My children both attend her classes and they always come home with master pieces and can't wait to go back!!
