Here at Wild at Art KIDS we are committed to nurturing and encouraging the artist already within every child or teen – whether they already love art, haven’t quite found a hobby they love YET or would love to develop skills and build confidence in drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, creativity, imagination, problem-solving, resilience, imperfection, or any other art and personal skills.
Through a rich combination of art exploration, skill building and freedom to create, artists (your children) are supported, guided and encouraged to find and trust the artist within.

About the Term Classes
In order of the weekly schedule
Our drawing classes for Ages 5 – 8 are 60 minutes. All other sessions are 90 minutes. All materials are included.
Please bring a drink bottle – creating art can be thirsty work.

Mixed-Media Adventures
Daytime Class
This class is perfect for artists who love all kinds of art or who are keen to try a bit of everything in art. Children will explore a range of materials and mediums, including painting, drawing, clay, collage, fibres, sculpture & other art forms. Plus discover and experiment with combining mediums and materials in new, unusual and fun ways.
Commencing Monday 6th October – Monday 8th December

This engaging drawing class for kids is designed for beginners to intermediate artists. Each term, we explore exciting new subjects—such as animals, famous landmarks, perspective, proportion, composition, and techniques—to help young artists build their skills, imagination, and creativity in a fun and supportive environment. In Term 4, students will experiment with a range of materials including pencils, pastels, charcoal and more. Each project will offer plenty of opportunities for individual choice and creative input, allowing students to help shape what they learn throughout the term.

Painting Around the World

Artists will be introduced to a range of techniques, processes, skills and styles throughout the term. They will explore art history and context, taking inspiration from many different artists, cultures and time periods. Artists will draw upon what they are learning, their own ideas and their developing personal style to create a variety of artworks throughout the term. There will be oodles of opportunity to experiment, try new things and develop their skills.

Artists, Lead the Way!
An open studio art class where artists come to work on their own ideas, art inspiration and/or take inspiration from the materials, a picture book, conversation, important events, prompts, examples or ideas on offer in the studio. This class is perfect for artists who have lots of ideas of their own and often know exactly what they would like to create.
Within each session artists will also be introduced to a new skill, technique or material in the form of a mini-lesson. The purpose of this is to continue to stretch and broaden their artmaking skills, so that they can continue to bring new materials and techniques into their own ideas.

This isn’t about creating a perfect painting —it’s about diving into the process, discovering what’s possible, and building skills through creative exploration. Whether they’re new to painting or already love it, this class is sure to be oodles of messy fun.
