Let the summer school holiday fun begin this January!
Let us engage and inspire your children these school holidays. We have a variety of classes on offer for ages 5+. From wild creating to calmly paced painting, designing and sketching – we’re sure there will be something for everyone!
Most sessions are 2 hours. Our Weaving Fish session is 90 minutes.
All materials are included and children are welcome to bring a snack and drink bottle – creating art can be hungry and thirsty work! No nuts please.

Monday 13th January
Flamingos on Canvas
Let’s go wild with pinks (or any other colour you like) to paint a gorgeous flamingo on canvas!
We’ll read “Flamingo Celeste is not like the rest” by Celeste Barber as inspiration before artists sketch & paint their own giant flamingos.

Weaving fish
What happens when you combine coathangers, orange nets and all sorts of fibres?
You get a gorgeous woven fish!
Explore and experiment with all sorts of fibres to weave a beautiful fish. Then add details and finishing touches with glitter, pom poms and more.

Tuesday 14th January
Look! I’m snorkelling in the ocean!
Summer is all about the sun, surf, swimming & all those wonderful creatures beneath the surface!
Come and learn how to draw all kinds of sea creatures and then create the most wonderful painted collage of you swimming or snorkelling in the ocean with your favourite sea animals!

Embossing insects & other creatures
Most kids and teens love to try something new – embossing is one of those things!
We’ll teach artists how to design, sketch and press their favourite insect, animal or anything else into embossing foil. And then add colour and patterns using Sharpies to make their artwork ‘pop’.

Wednesday 22nd January
Neon Leon on Canvas
Poor Leon! He stands out everywhere! Will he find a place to belong?
We’ll read “Neon Leon” by Jane Clarke as inspiration and then use fluorescent and regular paints to sketch and paint Leon in his wildest habitat!

Detergent Resist Painting on Canvas
This is an artwork filled with fluorescent paint, detergent, spray paint and the garden hose!
The perfect summer art activity for getting wet, messy and having oodles of fun!
Please wear old clothes and shoes!

Thursday 23rd January
Clown fish on Canvas
What makes a clown fish a clown fish?
In this mixed-media artwork artists will view, draw, paint and decorate a clown fish in the ocean.
Come and learn how to draw a clown fish or two, paint a gorgeous ocean and add seaweed, a treasure chest and other sea essentials using all sorts of materials in the studio!

Underground & Underwater Worlds
Use your wildest imagination to invent, visualise and create the most amazing underground or underwater world.
Artists will combine fantasy and imagination with 3-dimensional drawing and shading skills to create a super cool underground/underwater world for themselves or a creature of choice!
