Welcome to the open studio – where artists are provided with inspiring art prompts, however – what they create, how they create it and which materials they use is all up to them.

Prompts might include  local or international events, personal experiences, reading a picture book or excerpt from a novel, other artworks, a technique, materials, conversations, a question, objects, nature items or anything else.

What are the artists doing?
Gathering and generating ideas, drawing, painting, constructing, pasting, weaving, building, planning, printing, discussing, thinking, experimenting, testing, exploring, creating, refining, revising, reflecting, reviewing, presenting and more  – they are the artist leading the way.

What is the educator doing?
Supporting and extending the artists with whatever they are working on.

This class is perfect for artists who already have lots of ideas of their own and/or who love to explore and experiment with materials without necessarily having a set project.
